Remote Online Backup

How it works

Kabetech Remote Online Backup is based on a client-server software solution. In order to access the Kabetech backup server, client software has to be installed on the systems that need to be included in the backup. Although the software is easy to install, generally we recommend our customers to use the services of a qualified engineer to do this. Our engineers have the expertise not only to install and configure the software but also to assist you in case of an incident, when data needs to be restored and systems rebuilt.

Security

Your data is being secured using two layers of security measures:

1. User ID and Password: this information is provided to you by Kabetech and is a prerequisite for gaining access to your data;
2. Data encryption: the Kabetech Backup software encrypts all outgoing and incoming data using strong, 128-bits AES encryption. You are free to define your own encryption key, which is only stored at your computer and not on our backup server.

Backup selection

It is of course of the utmost importance that your backup selection includes all files and folders that you need, because data that is not selected, will not be backed up and cannot be recovered later. We recommend you to use qualified support personnel to make the right selections and in case of doubt consult the supplier(s) of your application software.
